How Long has FORG been around?
FORG has been around for about 12 years. The organization was started by a couple to find forever homes for retired greyhounds.
What is our mission?
We strive to find loving forever homes for retired greyhounds and to work to educate the public about the breed as well as the life that the greyhounds live as "professional athletes". Our kennels are very loving and thoughtful to thier dogs and we work hard to undo some of the unpopular beliefs about racing kennels.
How do we get our Greyhounds?
FORG works with many kennels across the U.S. to obtain as many retired racers as we can. We also accept Greyhounds from shelters.
How does FORG help the Greyhounds?
The Greyhounds are put through a very thorough medical check including; spay/neuter, dental cleaning, full shots, heartworm test, fecal test, microchipping and a full physical. Once they are cleared medically, they either to go a foster home or our Cell Dog Program.
