Meet Sandy, an incredibly sweet, docile lurcher who's going to make someone very happy. She's an absolute angel on a leash, adores kids, is totally non-reactive, and loves a good car ride with the wind in her ears. Sandy is a couch-and-bed kind of girl — happiest napping, gazing out the window, or quietly keeping tabs on whatever you're up to. Every now and then she'll surprise you with a burst of yard zoomies or toss a toy around for herself before settling right back into her spot on the couch. Sandy will do best in a crate-free home with a yard, ideally with someone who's around fairly often during her initial transition. She loves her people and does best with nighttime bedroom access at a minimum — couch or bed privileges are even better. Kids are a plus (she thrived in a foster home that ran a daycare), and another calm dog in the home could help her settle into a routine, though it's not a must. Sandy may need a little time and patience to find her groove, but give her the right home and she'll blossom into the wonderful companion she's meant to be.
